Music Festival Wedding on a Farm
Steve and Cazz had a wedding unlike anything we have seen before. They planned the most epic, wedding festival weekend on Cazz’ family’s citrus farm near Polokwane. An empty piece of land was converted into a “glampsite” to accommodate their +/- 350 guests, along with a central tent for what you could call a mini music fest on the Friday night before their wedding. Other features included a custom made swimming pool, a huge stage that was erected for Rubber Duc‘s surprise performance, and all of the distinctly African details that made their day so special. To think that absolutely everything had to be built or brought in, is a feat of note.
Guests were transported to their secret ceremony location amongst the citrus trees on tractors, while Cazz arrived with her dad in a cart pulled by farm donkeys! All of this beautifully reflected Steve and Cazz, a big-hearted, fun-loving and humble couple who enjoy having a good time with friends and family more than anything else. It was a huge privilege for us to be there, “glamping” and blending in with everyone, capturing the essence of the weekend as it unfolded.
Moments we loved: The ceremonial grafting of two trees together during the ceremony. Seeing the reception tent overlooking the dam when the candles were lit. The neon glasses that everyone was given to wear for the party/dancing.
