Vow renewal in the Baviaanskloof mountains
Telling people’s stories is one of the greatest privileges this life has given us. The tale of Steve and Lauren is one that has spanned over a decade, despite their youth. Through life’s uncertainties and grand surprises young love has remained but grown deep interwoven roots of understanding. Their pure, heartfelt love spills out of these images and fills our eyes.
To mark 10 years of being together, Steve and Lauren headed into the stark and beautiful wilderness of Baviaanskloof. This was the first time we’ve ventured into this World Heritage Site, and it is remarkable! Arid flatlands, tropical gorges and magnificent mountains, with passes high enough to scare any mountain man, make up the landscape.
The day before their vow renewal, we followed Lauren and Steve from fern forests into a river gorge, naturally landscaped with wild lilies, rock pools and ancient ‘Narnian’ trees. (Take a look!)
