Babylonstoren is one of our favourite places in the Cape, loved for its magnificent, otherworldly gardens that are simply breathtaking. It was such a treat to explore their grounds with Sam and Jess after the crowds had left. We followed the pair from the lake shed, through lanes of fruit trees, fragrant lawns, a prickly pear maze and into the fynbos. We didn’t think it possible, but dusk’s light transformed Babylonstoren‘s botanical tapestry into an even more magical place.
