Plettenberg Bay Elopement at Emily Moon
Lloyd and Kelly’s held their elopement in Plettenberg Bay at Emily Moon. Emily Moon River Lodge is a unique wedding venue found in the Garden Route, with breathtaking views overlooking the Bitou River. The lodge is decorated in a ‘maximalist’ style with eclectic artefacts and furniture collected from all over Africa, and beyond. It’s hard not to get lost in the magical space that the Valentine family have created.
Each suite tells a story of one of the Emily Moon characters, inviting you to step into the world of Emily and her Harry. The couple’s great African romance touches the hearts of all who visit Emily Moon. Their love was forged in the heart and wildness of our great continent, and continues today on the banks of the Bitou River in every romantic dinner, heartwarming toast and “I do”.
Kelly and Lloyd’s said their vows on the river jetty, knitting their own love story into the Emily Moon fabric. Elements of Africa thread through their day, from Kelly’s flower crown that was crafted with indigenous plants and seed pods (responsibly foraged by Runaway Romance), to the handmade terracotta and glass beads hanging off their wedding table. Africa is made of pure adventure and this is adventurous love.
