Johannesburg City Wedding
André and Chanel held their city wedding at the Old Johannesburg Warehouse. One of Joburg’s inner-city gems. The auction house is packed full of antiques, art and collectables, of all shapes and sizes. This maximalist space was the perfect canvas for André and Chanel’s eclectic celebration.
We ventured onto Joburg’s city streets for André and Chanel’s couple photo session. You’ll see the Rand Club‘s historic exterior featuring in their wedding images. This timeless Johannesburg icon was founded during the gold rush in 1887. Only a year after the city was founded. Although the Rand Club is a member-only establishment, they do open their venue to the public. If you are looking for a Joburg city wedding venue, this heritage building is the ideal place!
André shares about their wedding at the Old Johannesburg Warehouse
We have a love for all things unique and out of the ordinary. From the time we started talking about marriage, we planned on doing something different, but simple, for our wedding.
Our hearts were never settled on a typical wedding venue. So, when ur family-friends offered us the Old Johannesburg Warehouse, we jumped at the idea! The Old Johannesburg Warehouse is an old industrial warehouse in the heart of Johannesburg’s CBD. The space is packed with antiques, creating an amazing and interesting backdrop. We held the ceremony and reception on two different floors, with cocktail hour on the rooftop.
We did a lot ourselves, but our friends and family supported us along the way. Plus, we now have so many special memories leading up to the day. Chanel and I feel so privileged to have held our wedding at the Old Johannesburg Warehouse!
