Babylonstoren Engagement Shoot
Ash shares their engagement story
The morning Emmanuel proposed was the most beautiful, misty morning, very similar to that of our wedding day. After a short drive in the dark we arrived in a big open field with a hot air ballon in the centre. The sun had just began to rise and I was beside myself! It had been a dream of mine since I was a young girl to ride in one of these immense and mystical inventions in the sky.
Once up and overlooking the beauty of the Gold Coast hinterland through the dreamy clouds, Emmanuel dropped down onto his knee. He was petrified the ring was going to fall through the base of the basket beneath us. It was a feeling that I don’t have words to describe. Time stood still until the warmth and sound of the flame started back up. We took a moment to thank nature for being a part of that moment with us. I was to find out later that he had intended to propose in Byron Bay at the lookout, with the hot air ballon being our celebration. But, the rain had other plans and mother nature knew that we needed to quite literally be floating on the clouds at the start of our marriage adventure.
