Farm Wedding at Cabbage and Rose Country Venue
Cabbage and Rose Country Venue is set on the urban edge of Middelburg on Glen Cullen Country Estate. Conveniently less than two hours from Johannesburg! Inspired by European conservatories the creative owners chose glass as a feature that would thread through the farm’s renovations, transforming the space from family home to dream country wedding venue! Their greenhouse chapel lies in the middle of a forest and a breathtaking conservatory-like bathroom was recently added to the bridal suite. (Ready the day before Gordon and Sasha’s wedding!)
Gordon and Sasha wanted to incorporate as much natural beauty into their day as possible. Their botanical-inspired decor was a bursting tapestry of deep pink, red and peach blooms accentuated with velvet textiles, gold and cut glass. Blomster brought their ideas to life, suspending dense greenery and Edison light bulbs from the ceiling, giving you the feeling that you were dining in a secret garden-hideaway under the stars. She also crafted the most exquisite bouquet and fresh flower and feather bracelet for Sasha.
One of our favourite moments during their wedding was watching the joy and surprise on Sasha’s face when, at the end of his wedding speech, Gordon casually mentioned to his bride that they were off to Vietnam on honeymoon!
