Wedding at Lace on Timber
For urban dwellers in love with nature, Lace on Timber was the perfect location for Brett and Kelsey’s black tie wedding. The venue’s industrial feel, complete with exposed brick walls and arched steel-framed windows, juxtaposed the surrounding bushveld. In addition, their choice of lavish greenery, striking black candles and gold accents were a fitting combination for their sophisticated but down-to-earth celebration.
Kelsey and Brett held their ceremony beneath 100 year old trees and a white wooden frame forming the shape of a chapel. As a result, the ceremony location held an intimacy alongside the openness of the outdoors.
Alongside the magnificence of design and detail, Brett and Kelsey’s day had all the feels from beginning to end. Emotion ran high as Brett saw his bride for the first time, causing tears to sprout from many eyes, including our own!. Their very real connection was visible in every frame captured. From tears caught in tissues, to still reflective moments and deep laughter.
After their ceremony, Brett and Kelsey’s celebration continued into cocktail hour. There was live music, a bountiful harvest table, gin, homemade lemonade and craft beer stations. They also had the most incredible caramel and popcorn cake we have ever seen. The party rolled on late into the night, with guests spilling from the dance floor to the outdoor lounges. Guests gathered around the fire pit to smoke cigars (very black tie!) or enjoy a glass of wine under star-filled African skies.
