Banff is home to some of the most exquisite turquoise blue lakes in the world - all unforgettable locations for a photo session. Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are two of the most popular and well-known lakes in the area. But, if you know where to look, there are so many more icy blue slushies hidden within this wild terrain!
When in Banff, you are pretty much guaranteed to wander around open-mouthed and wide-eyed. There is no shortage of jawdropping scenes in the area! The mountains, turquoise blue lakes, Douglas-fir forests and open fields are an endless invitation to explore and create. Cont’d after gallery.
We were privileged to photograph Evan and Virginia at one of these turquoise wonders on their first-year wedding anniversary. Part of The Revenant was filmed in the golden fields featured in the images below. Evan and Virginia plan to do a love photoshoot annually. What a cool idea! And what a wonderful way to celebrate the passage of time and the progression of life and marriage.
As you will see, Evan and Virginia are a wild and beautiful mix of romance, fun and adventure. They were even brave enough to spontaneously venture into the icy cold glacial water!
